The future of Martial Arts

“You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.”

John C. Maxwell

Each person who becomes involved in the martial arts has a different objective: to improve his or her physical condition, to learn self-defense, to improve self-discipline, to become a world class competitor, to become more confident, and the list goes on. Although each of these may seem like different goals at their base, they reflect one common thought: personal improvement through the art.

Combat Theory sees this concept as a “personal victory” … a measurement of individual improvement based on personal potential. Our program is an exciting form of mental and physical exercise for everyone. If you are dedicated to attending classes, you will meet your goals in the martial arts and receive additional benefits you never expected. I personally can tell you that martial arts have improved my life in ways that are beyond measure.

Discipline

We aren’t born with self-discipline; it’s a learned behavior. And just like any other skill you want to master, it requires daily practice and repetition.

Self-Defense

“Self Defense Is Not Just A Set Of Techniques; It’s A State Of Mind, And It Begins With The Belief That You Are Worth Defending.” – Rorion Gracie

Community

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” – Coretta Scott King

resilience

Resilence is the ability, both physically and mentally,to withstand adversity and bounce back from unexpected events.

what They’re Saying

Combat theory is great! The coaches take the time to break down the instruction and care about seeing you do well. The class community is super supportive and great for all ages. I came in with no striking background and felt like I learned a lot of the fundamentals quickly at Combat Theory. I highly recommend Paul’s program to anyone in the Orlando area.

My 13 year old daughter started training with Combat Theory about 8 months ago.  After a bad experience with another martial arts instructor we decided to give Coach Paul and his team a try.   From the first day Coach Paul made her feel welcome, eased any of my concerns as a parent, and started her positive journey in Modern American Muay Thai.  She has thrived with Combat Theory’s training progression and on her way to competing in her first big competition.   I have no doubt that we are at the right gym which will help her achieve her goals in a very supportive, yet technically challenging environment.

When my son first started Muay Thai with Combat Theory just over two years ago; he was anxious, unsure and petrified of “sucking.” Thankfully, those worries were put to rest as the team welcomed him in, showed him the ropes and to this day, treat him like family. My son has gained self confidence and increasing resilience in his day to day life. I was looking for a program to teach him discipline but also something he could be proud to be a part of, Combat Theory is just the place.
